How Old Is BigXthaPlug in 2026?
BigXthaPlug is 28 years old in October 2026. His reported birthday is May 12, 1998, meaning his 28th birthday took place on May 12, 2026.
The calculation is straightforward. Subtracting his birth year from 2026 gives 28, and because his birthday has already passed this year, he has reached that age. He will turn 29 on May 12, 2027.
This distinction helps explain why different websites sometimes display different ages. A biography written before May 12, 2026, could correctly describe him as 27 at the time. After his birthday, the correct age becomes 28, assuming the reported birth date is accurate.
His age is particularly interesting to fans because his music career developed rapidly during his twenties. In a relatively short period, he moved from releasing music within the Texas scene to reaching listeners across the United States.

What Is BigXthaPlug’s Real Name?
BigXthaPlug’s real name is Xavier Landum. BigXthaPlug is the professional name he uses for his recordings, performances, and public identity.
In an October 2023 interview with XXL, Landum discussed his early life, football background, introduction to rap, and the experiences that influenced his career. The interview provides more useful biographical context than a list of celebrity facts alone.
His stage name is now closely associated with a distinctive vocal delivery and a musical identity rooted in Texas. Fans may search for “Xavier Landum age,” “Big X the Plug real name,” or “BigXthaPlug biography” when trying to connect the artist’s public name with his personal background.
Where Is BigXthaPlug From?
BigXthaPlug is from Dallas, Texas. His connection to Dallas is central to his musical identity and helps explain the regional character of his sound.
Texas has a long history of influential hip-hop, with artists developing styles shaped by Southern musical traditions, local culture, bass-heavy production, and distinctive vocal approaches. BigXthaPlug belongs to a newer generation of Texas artists bringing that regional identity to a wider audience.
His song “Texas” is a particularly clear expression of this connection. Rather than presenting his background as an incidental biographical detail, his music often draws attention to the state and the culture associated with it.
Dallas also provides important context for understanding his career. His rise did not begin with an established national audience; he developed his identity through early releases, local connections, music videos, and a growing listener base.
BigXthaPlug’s Early Life and Football Background
BigXthaPlug’s early life helps explain some of the experiences that later appeared in his music. In his interview with XXL, he discussed growing up in difficult circumstances, his relationship with his parents, and the influence of the music he heard as a child.
He recalled listening to artists including UGK, the Isley Brothers, Drake, and Lil Wayne. Those influences provide context for his later interest in combining Southern rap traditions with elements of other musical styles.
Football was another important part of his early life. According to the XXL interview, Landum attended Crown College in Minnesota after graduating from Ferris High School in Texas in 2016. His football ambitions did not become his long-term career, and he eventually turned toward music.
These details matter because they show that his path into hip-hop was not simply a straightforward progression from childhood musical interest to recording success. His early experiences, changing circumstances, and personal responsibilities all formed part of his journey.
